Wernisaż wystawy ilustracji cyfrowych Amelii Hynek i Nathana Guilhot „Slow Life”

Wojewódzka Biblioteka Publiczna w Krakowie zaprasza na wernisaż wystawy ilustracji cyfrowych Amelii Hynek i Nathana Guilhot „Slow Life”, który odbędzie się 23 stycznia, o godz. 17.00.

Chwile spędzone z przyjaciółmi, z samym sobą, czy kilka sekund, w których słońce wydaje się świecić najpiękniej. Spokojne momenty, w których czas wydaje się płynąć wolniej lub chwile, kiedy chcielibyśmy go zatrzymać. Wbrew pozorom, to wtedy, tak naprawdę dzieje się najwięcej - trzeba jednak nieco zwolnić, by to zauważyć.

Wystawa “Slow Life” to wspólny projekt polsko-francuskiej pary młodych artystów. Tworzone w zaciszu domowym, ręcznie rysowane ilustracje cyfrowe przedstawiają miejsca oraz sytuacje z życia codziennego, niekiedy z nutą magii i fantastyki. Zarówno w malarskich, pełnych światła i tekstury pracach Amelii, jak i komiksowych, detalicznych pracach Nathana panuje ciepła, czasem z lekka nostalgiczna atmosfera. Przyjazny nastrój, szeroka paleta oraz głęboka narracja, a także drobne humorystyczne elementy - wszystko ma na celu wywołanie uśmiechu na twarzy odbiorcy, a także zatrzymanie go w barwnym świecie na chwilę dłużej.

Amelia Hynek, znana również jako "Astheri Art", to niezależna ilustratorka, pisarka i studentka ostatniego roku sztuki i edukacji w Krakowie. Posiadając doświadczenie w sztuce cyfrowej, pracuje jako freelancerka od ponad dwóch lat, współpracując z klientami zarówno z Polski, jak i spoza kraju. Angażuje się w projekty takie jak projektowanie okładek książek i albumów, a także rysowanie teł do filmów wideo. Posiada obszerne portfolio prac z zakresu projektowania otoczenia, postaci oraz ilustracji narracyjnych, których używa do opowiadania historii o tworzonych przez nią światach fantastycznych. Jej sztuka porusza tematy związane z psychiką człowieka i dzieciństwem, a także fantasy, eskapizmem i mitologią. Astheri jednocześnie prowadzi zajęcia z rysunku dla dzieci, a przyszłość wiąże z ilustracją, concept art oraz nauczaniem lub prowadzeniem arteterapii dla dzieci i młodzieży.

Nathan Guilhot, znany również jako "Nighten", to ilustrator i projektant gier pochodzący z południowej Francji. Posiadający bogate doświadczenie w freelancingu, do dziś opublikował ponad 20 gier online, jednocześnie tworząc komiksy, plakaty i koszulki, które są dostępne do zakupu w jego sklepie. Czerpie inspirację z animacji 2D oraz innych analogowych mediów, takich jak styl komiksów francuskich i belgijskich znany jako Ligne Claire. W serii "Taking Back" przekształca wizję postapokaliptycznego świata w barwną i optymistyczną opowieść, w której ludzie stopniowo odzyskują kontrolę nad przestrzeniami, które wcześniej utracili. Ta kreacja oraz inne światy stworzone przez Nightena pokazują, co najbardziej pobudza jego wyobraźnię - to niepozorne momenty z życia codziennego tworzą najciekawsze historie.

The Regional Public Library in Krakow invites to the exhibition of digital illustrations by Amelia Hynek and Nathan Guilhot "Slow Life"

A day spent with friends, on your own, or just a few seconds when the sun seems to shine most beautifully. Moments when the time seems to flow more slowly, or moments when we wish we could stop it from flowing. Contrary to how we might believe, this is when the most precious things actually happen - one just needs to slow down a bit to notice it.

The "Slow Life" exhibition is a project of a Polish-French couple of young artists. Created in the comfort of their homes, these hand-drawn digital illustrations depict places and situations from everyday life, sometimes with a touch of magic and fantasy. Both in Amelia's painterly, light-filled and textured works, and in Nathan's comic-style, detailed pieces, there is a warm, sometimes slightly nostalgic atmosphere. Friendly mood, wide palette, deep narrative, and subtle humorous elements - everything aims to bring a smile to the viewer's face and to keep them in this colorful world for a little longer.

Amelia Hynek, a.k.a “Astheri Art” is a freelance illustrator, writer and a final year student of Art and Education in Kraków. Experienced in digital art, she has worked as a freelancer for over two years now, with clients from Poland and outside the country, engaging in projects such as book and album cover designs as well as making backgrounds for videos. She has a wide portfolio of environment design, character art and narrative illustrations, which she uses to tell various stories about the worlds she creates. Her art deals with topics related to the human psyche and childhood, as well as fantasy, escapism and mythology. Also an art tutor, she associates her future with illustration or concept art as well as teaching or conducting art therapy for children and teenagers.

Nathan Guilhot, a.k.a. “Nighten” is an illustrator and game designer from the South of France. With a wide experience in freelancing, he’s published more than 20 games online, along with comics, posters and T-shirt designs which are available for purchase in his shop. He takes inspiration in 2D animation and other analogue mediums, such as the style French and Belgian comics known as Ligne Claire.

In the series “Taking Back”, he turns the vision of a post-apocalyptic world into a vibrant and optimistic tale, where humans slowly regain their control over spaces that they had previously lost. This creation, and other worlds created by Nighten show what mostly captures his imagination - it’s the little moments of ordinary lives that write the most interesting stories.
